  4. Simmer the onion and garlic in a little water for 5 minutes. Add the ginger, turmeric and curry. Stir.
  5. Add the cooked lentils and the preserved liquid.
  6. Add diced tomatoes or tomato juice. If the tomatoes are fresh, let them boil together with the food for 5-10 minutes. If they are canned, you can immediately add the frozen spinach (as you remove it from the package) or the fresh one (scald it before boiling water for 1 minute), chopped. Stir. Boil for another 2 minutes.
